Maxum Consulting strongly believes in giving back to the community. This year we have nominated Camp Quality as our charity of choice. We are aiming to raise $10,000 for Camp Quality to assist their Fund a Family Program.

For $2,500 we can provide one family’s touch points with Camp Quality for a year. With your help we hope to support 4 Camp Quality families this year. 

To reach our goal Maxum Consulting is committed to donating a portion of all sales to Camp Quality’s Fund a Family Program, along with organising fund raising and auction events throughout the year. Who is Camp Quality?

Camp Quality is the children’s family cancer charity that believes in building resilience in the lives of every child living with cancer in and their family in Australia. We create an optimistic community for our families through fun therapy and education. We believe laughter is the best medicine.

The Fund a Family program can provide families with the anyone of the following touch points dependant on the family’s location:

A. Cancer is diagnosed – family is referred to their local Camp Quality. The Camp Quality website provides the family with practical information about living with cancer and how they can get involved in Camp Quality activities.

B. Child spends time in hospital – The family registers with Camp Quality and is contacted by the local Camp Quality team to offer support. The family receives a Camp Quality information pack, including meal vouchers and a phone card. Giggle visits the child in hospital, providing welcome fun therapy and letting cancer take a back seat for a while. The family accesses Camp Quality’s family support program to assist with travel costs or similar.

C. Child is in treatment – Family benefits from using hospital Camp Quality play room, this enables them to spend time as a family in the ward. Family may receive additional financial support to pay for phone bills to keep in touch. Camp Quality play therapists visit child and run a play therapy session with them. The parents may attend a parent dinner at the ward.

D. Child goes back to school – Child’s school gets visited by either our Puppet Program or Teenage Alchemist performance dependent on which level of school they are at. Child attends a Camp Quality Camp. Siblings attend a fun day with other siblings. Parents are treated to a parents retreat for the day. 

E. Child is on and off treatment – The whole family attends a Camp Quality fun day. Support continues for the family whenever they need it.
